Hi folks,
Well here it is, the second blog but the first one really. For some this will be the first blog with email notification which explains in some respects why this is 'The first one really', but also this one will have a bit more meat now the site actually seems to work nicely now. (Worry not, if you don't want to receive any more notifications simply use the unsubscribe box and button to remove your email address)
So what's new I bet your not wondering and maybe, how the hell have I found time to make a site and then post random messages on it when all I seem to have done recently is work, work, do exercise and then some more work. Well believe it or not I seem to have reached this bizarre limit of being so busy and things scheduled to fit around my activities, that I'm now left with pockets of time where I've not got quite enough time to do anything else, so I've for a change, written some code or like I'm doing right this second, writing some nonsense.
For those of you not in the know, the exercise I do comprises of my normal BMF sessions and for the short term helping a friend train for the London marathon in a little under 4 weeks time. We are currently up to the 16 - 18 mile runs, not bad considering this time last year I probably couldn't do 5 without needing to walk a bit!
As for work, well it's as busy as it ever has been and this little site is actually helping me by trying out new things, so it's not all fun and geek-eeness. The aim here is to write this site so it can be installed anywhere with the minimum of configuration to work (easier said than done) and also eventually so that it can spawn instances on it's own, similar to people setting up their own My Space pages.
Things about this site that you can look forward to seeing are the way you interact with it, I'm hoping to practice making little animation things, without using flash or slowing the site down in terms of loading so look forward to sliding things and such, feedback on these items would be much appreciated :)

Two American guys talking about stories submitted to a very popular website (www.digg.com), one of them Kevin is the founder of the site Digg.com, is silly rich now but still seems to be a straight forward down to earth guy with a few jokes and interesting observations on life, worth watching their show.
